Good in the Hood is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of, and building relationships with, the members of our neighborhood. Some past projects have included: holiday gifts for over 75 refugees, a dance night for some local widows, and monthly activities for some South Salt Lake youth.

How Can You Help Good in the Hood?

We are all volunteers and are always looking for more! Specifically, we are looking for a few charitable people to fulfill certain service opportunities:

  • Volunteer Coordinator - Help recruit volunteers for specific projects
  • Project Manager - Plan and execute specific service projects

    Part of the purpose of Good in the Hood is to provide life necessities to those who are in need. The following is a list of items that our friends need. Please look over this list and see if there is anything you can donate to help another in need.

  • DVD or VCR Player
  • Disney DVDs (To help refugees learn simple English)
  • Garbage Bags
  • Dryer
  • Lamps
  • Sewing Machine
  • Items or services to auction
